The Journal of Applied Artificial Intelligence in the Built Environment is committed to advancing open, equitable, and global access to scientific knowledge. To support this mission, all articles published in the journal are made freely available online immediately upon publication, with no subscription or access fees for readers.

All published articles are released under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.
This license permits anyone to:

• read, download, copy, distribute, and reuse the article’s content, including for commercial purposes,
• remix, transform, or build upon the material,

provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and the source.
Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal permission to publish it under this license.

Preprint and Self-Archiving Policy

The journal supports the open dissemination of research at all stages. Authors are permitted and encouraged to:

• upload preprints to public preprint servers (e.g., arXiv, institutional repositories),
• share the accepted manuscript version in noncommercial repositories,
• share the final published version (PDF) anywhere, immediately upon publication.

This policy promotes early visibility, collaboration, and open scientific exchange.

Long-Term Access

The journal is committed to ensuring long-term accessibility and preservation of all published content.
As the journal grows, it aims to adopt recognized digital preservation and archiving practices to safeguard the permanent availability of published articles.

Policy Updates

The journal reserves the right to revise this Open Access Policy when necessary to support sustainable publishing practices. Any changes will not affect articles already published and will apply only to future submissions.
